HNHS is delighted to announce a return to normal arrangements for this year's Autumn Meeting and AGM, which will be held on Saturday 1 October (2 to 5.15pm) at the offices of Affinity Water, Tamblin Way, Hatfield, AL10 9EZ.

We hope as many members, friends and visitors will be able to join us for a programme (see below) of entertaining talks, plus the Annual General Meeting, which will take place in public for the first time since 2019.

North Herts farmer Edward Darling, who is Chief Executive of the Redlist Revival campaign to conserve farmland wildlife, will talk about his creation of The Life Map – a method of connecting knowledge about sustainable practices to engagement and activity which has become part of the United Nations Plan for a Sustainable Planet in the Digital Age, Howard Craft, General Manager at Berkhamsted Golf Club and Tim Hill, Conservation Manager at the Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust, will  consider ways that  golf courses can make a positive contribution to habitat and wildlife recovery based on successful work undertaken in recent years.

There will be a £5 admission charge for the Autumn Meeting, but members wishing only to attend the AGM will be able to do so free of charge.

We are grateful to Affinity Water for again making their conference facilities – closed during the worst of the Covid outbreak – available to us.
