Photographs of scorched Aspen at Broxbourne Gravel Pits at the end of July tell their own story of the increasingly severe effects of this summer's record temperatures and drought.

They were taken by Paul Gymer and have prompted the creation of a new category on our online galleries. This will bring togrether wildlife images that illustrate different  aspects of Hertfordshire's changing wildlife that are – or appear to be – attributable to climate change. As with all our wildlife galleries we will welcome photographs sent good qualilty images sent to  .
