Records submitted to the website are gratefully received; they all help to better understand the status of Rooks in the county. Submit records HERE and please include an active nest count and a six digit grid reference.
Go to 2021 Herts Rookery Map to see a map of known Herts rookeries including location, grid reference and number of nest recorded last year. The more that get counted this year the better!
Rookeries can range from just a handful of nests to many tens, can be found in both rural and urban areas*, and do move around. So as well as doing a 2022 count of a known rookery, can find a new Herts rookery to add to our database?
