HNHS rare botany books exhibited
Rare and historic botany books, bequeathed to the Hertfordshire Natural History Society more than a century ago, went on display for a few hours at University College London (UCL) on July 30.

Despite rainy weather, more than 1,500 people, including many families, attended the Festival of Wildlife held over the weekend of 27 and 28 July in the beautiful setting of Panshanger Park, near Hertford.
Herts Geology and Landscape –The John Catt Symposium
More than 50 geology, archaeology and natural history enthusiasts attended a very successful conference on Saturday 13 July in memory of John Catt who died in December 2017 and was the contributing editor of our best-selling publication Hertfordshire Geology and Landscape.

Organised by the Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust, in association with HNHS and Tarmac plc, this free festival celebrates the diversity of wildlife in our county and features walks, talks, family activities and conservation demonstrations.
