Sat 21 and 22 April /Sat 28 and Sun 29 April: daytime 'Heronwatch' organised by RSPB St Albans at Verulamium Lake.
Sat 21 April: 'Reviving the Mill Stream at New Barnes Mill', working party organised by the Ver Valley Society. 10am to 12noon. Meet opposite New Barnes Mill, Cottonmill Lane, AL1 2HA. Bring wellies!

Mon 23 April: Morning bird walk (suggested donation £1) to Colne Valley and Bricket Wood organised by RSPB St Albans. Meet outside 'THe Gate' Station Road, Bricket Wood, AL2 3PW. 9.30am to 12.30pm
Mon 23 April: After-school safari (free) at Batford Springs Nature Reserve organised by Harpenden Town Council and HMWT, from 4pm to 5.30pm.
Tues 24 April: Sustainable trees - Bricket Wood Common, walk (free) organised by St Albans Council Trees and Landscape team, 10.30am to 12.30pm – unless weather is bad.
Sat 28 April: 'Understanding carbon capture by new woodland', a guided walk (£5) at Heartwood Forest organised by The Woodland Trust, 11.30am to 1pm.
Sat 28 April: Wildlife and conservation at Bricket Wood (including butterfly walk led by Malcolm Hull) organised by John O'Conner (GM) Ltd. 12 noon to 4pm, The Parish Centre, Station Road, Bricket Wood AL2 2PJ
